All the right connections: Asseco shows partner solutions for efficient communication at CeBIT

The high level of automation inherent in Industry 4.0 makes it more important than ever for companies to ensure that processes and information flow seamlessly across all phases of manufacturing. To achieve this, the number of third-party systems connected to the central ERP solution is constantly increasing – yet that means more maintenance effort and cost. Asseco Solutions’ new interface framework resolves this problem as it allows companies to connect up external systems to their ERP without the need for programming or maintenance. At this year’s CeBIT, which takes place from 14 to 18 March in Hanover, Germany, Asseco – the ERP provider for small and midsized companies – will be showing how the interface framework works in practice by connecting it to solutions from eight of its partners. On its stand (Hall 5, Stand F16), Asseco will also be demonstrating how users can benefit from specialized functionality provided by the partner solutions.

The new APplus interface framework handles the communication of the ERP solution with external systems regardless of their original data structure. A special communicator converts the information from the source system into an encrypted, generic data structure. It then sends this generic information to the target system, where it is decrypted by another communicator. This approach enables companies to connect the two systems with no programming. It also significantly reduces the need for maintenance, as updates or changes to the external system do not require changes to the customised interface. This gives APplus efficient and seamless interoperability with external systems that streamlines processes. Asseco Solutions will be demonstrating how this works in practice using several of its partners’ solutions on its booth at CeBIT (Hall 5, Stand F16).

On the stand, visitors will also have the opportunity to find out about the new features in its partners’ solutions, as specialists from each company will be demonstrating them on a range of demo stations.

N+P – Practical digitalisation and Industry 4.0 for manufacturing

As Asseco’s competence centre for MES, PLM and automotive, the consulting firm and system house N+P Informationssysteme is one of the main Asseco partners for planning and implementing Industry 4.0 initiatives. At CeBIT, it will be presenting the latest features in its manufacturing solution APplus MES. By integrating construction and ERP expertise, the solution enables customers to achieve a significant increase in the productivity and quality of their production processes. N+P has also enriched the Asseco solution with its own know-how by developing and integrating modules to create IT solutions for midsized companies in any industry.

aruba – Analyses and reports supporting solid decision-making

At CeBIT, the business intelligence specialist aruba informatik will present the new features in its integrated solution APplus BI. Based on the APplus data warehouse, it provides deep, comprehensive analyses and reports on the fly with no impact on performance. The solution is centred on the highly flexible ETL tool Enterprise Query, which enables customers to tailor the data warehouse to their needs and integrate additional data sources. Using APplus BI, customers can create personalised reports in as little as two days. They can also create and view indicators, strategies and initiatives using the integrated Enterprise Scorecard.

DUALIS – Detailed planning for Industry 4.0

The detailed planning specialist DUALIS will be showcasing the new Version 5 of its APplus APS solution at this year’s CeBIT. It provides users with a wide range of new functional modules to help them meet Industry 4.0 requirements. These include hybrid data interfaces, collaborative planning across several manufacturing departments, and new security functions comprising a new audit trail option and a new user and rights management feature. The company has completely redesigned its staff planning function. It now provides even more flexibility in modelling personnel requirements and qualifications for better team planning and optimised interaction between staff and machines.

Babtec – Ensuring the best production quality

On this year’s Asseco stand, the quality specialist Babtec will be showing practical applications of ‘APplus QS Powered by Babtec’, its modular, computer-aided quality assurance (CAQ) software. This is the company’s complete solution for quality planning, quality assurance and quality management. It meets the requirements of make-to-order manufacturers as well as mass producers, and uses a common interface to enable the bidirectional sharing of the entire incoming goods process. This includes serial numbers to make the process even more transparent. The solution can also easily handle other scenarios, such as the production process.

IMS – Optimising processes, increasing efficiency

IMS specialises in integrated management systems and focuses on the implementation of process-oriented quality management. These systems underpin successful company management by providing wide-ranging improvements in efficiency and quality levels. IMS solutions help companies implement all common norms and standards, effectively covering all business-critical operations like business processes, document control, continuous improvement, risk management and audits. The solution is tightly integrated with APplus, and users can see the relevant process documentation with a simple click on the input screen. This helps users better understand the processes while optimising process quality.

Mjthos-Solutions – Process-oriented APplus implementation

The consulting firm Mjthos-Solutions acts as a sales and advisory partner that helps customers with a process-oriented implementation of APplus. Using the IMS management system, the company conducts business process modelling to analyse a customer’s existing processes and integrate them into the APplus ERP solution. Mjthos puts particular focus on complying with the ISO 9001 and ISO TS16949 quality management standards, as the organisation of the business process – and not just the technology behind it – represents a key knowledge pool and is therefore a significant productivity factor in a company. The Mjthos exhibit on the Asseco stand will include practical implementation examples as well as information about the opportunities and benefits for customers.

3mobility solutions – Personalised apps for mobile working

3mobility solutions will be presenting APplus Mobility, the current Version 10 of its flexmobility platform. This enables customers to map personalised, mobile business processes with apps for iOS, Android and Windows – while including all device-specific features. With its new Central Platform Manager, Version 10 offers a wide range of new functionality that includes Responsive Design Adaptation. This makes it easier to create and configure the individual app design and facilitates the mapping of the underlying business process with no need for additional middleware. Using multiple customer references, 3mobility specialists will be demonstrating how the solution is fully integrated into APplus.

eDocu

At CeBIT, the young software company eDocu will be demonstrating how customers can optimise and accelerate their business processes with the Internet of Everything. The company helps them achieve this with its software-as-a-service offering for simple, cloud-based mobile access to their database. The eDocu solution uses iTags to link individual objects with information about them. When users scan these – and assuming they have the necessary permissions – they have immediate access to all the linked information and can manage it as required. That makes it easy for them to significantly accelerate and simplify object-related tasks in the service area as well as in building, warehouse and fleet management.
