More than the sum of its parts: Together with nine partners, Asseco Solutions is introducing the wide world of the smart factory at CeBIT
The whole is often more than the sum of its parts. This is particularly true with the huge Industry 4.0 trend. Because only the networking of individual production components enables a higher degree of automation and efficiency. However, for efficient production processes, not only the machines and production systems must be able to communicate successfully with one another. The individual components of the underlying software solution must also be seamlessly integrated and coordinated with one another to make possible the smooth flow of smart processes in the first place. In light of this, Asseco Solutions will be presenting the "smart factory you can touch" together with nine partners at this year's CeBIT at Stand F16 in Hall 5. The new APplus solution, with the integration of many solution partners, offers all components companies need for modern production processes in Industry 4.0 style from a single source: From the central manufacturing execution system to specific detail planning to high-performance functions for quality assurance, mobility and business intelligence.
The smart factory trend is picking up speed. The automotive sector is a clear forerunner in this area, according to the "IT Innovation Readiness Index 2013"1 from analysts PAC. As early as 2013, this study states that 80 percent of the surveyed automotive suppliers were using intelligent production systems as a basis for Industry 4.0, which is more than twice as many as in machine and plant engineering. Asseco Solutions, the ERP specialist for mid-sized companies, will be presenting its new solution for the smart factory exclusively for CeBIT 2015 from March 16 - 20 in Hanover.
Our society has already seen three industrial revolutions and now the fourth seems imminent: “Industry 4.0” is the buzzword used to describe the increasing integration of production machines in networks and the growing communication between them. Companies are hoping to boost productivity and achieve greater profit margins, but many technical issues remain to be solved. How much autonomy do these interconnected machines really require? Which safety aspects need to be addressed? The Industry 4.0 Application Center at the University of Potsdam is dedicated to finding the answers by investigating procedures and processes in this area. In a move to reinforce its strategic commitment to exploring new technologies, Asseco Solutions, an ERPII specialist based in Karlsruhe and catering to small and medium-sized companies, is supporting this research.
How did the European software industry develop in 2013? Which companies managed to increase their turnover? Which of them suffered losses? The European private equity company Truffle Capital provides answers to these questions in its "Truffle 100 Europe" report. In what is now the ninth edition of the benchmark ranking, the independent venture capital firm has once again listed Europe's software groups with the highest turnover: For the second time in succession, the Asseco Group appears at sixth place in the top 100, and is thus establishing itself within the leading group of major European IT companies. The Group is the parent company of Asseco Solutions, the Karlsruhe-based ERPII provider for SMEs.
More and more production processes are being moved abroad at the moment; information networking is moving ahead and data is increasingly being provided online. Current technological progress in production is not only influencing processing procedures themselves, it is also affecting the requirements that users impose on certain functions of their ERP system. For companies, as a result, it is important to know how well a system can adapt to changed market conditions without having to intervene in the software itself. In its most recent comparative test, the Ulm-based software inspection company (GPS) concludes that the fully web-based ERPII solution, APplus, delivers "very good" performance when it comes to meeting these requirements. Consequently, it has been awarded with the "ERP Excellence 2014" certificate.
As part of the largest independent user study in Europe1, the team of experts from Trovarit AG reports for the seventh time on how satisfied users in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are with the ERP systems they currently have in use – with particularly positive results for the Asseco Solutions ERPII solution: customers awarded top marks for their satisfaction with APplus and voted the solution as regards user satisfaction "by far ahead" of comparatively established systems for SMEs.
Evolution, not revolution. From Asseco Solutions' perspective, this also applies for the future of ERP solutions, for which Gartner coined the term "postmodern ERP" in January this year in its published forecasts. Asseco Solutions will explain precisely what this evolution means for the future of ERP to interested visitors at its stand in Hall 4, No. D01 at the IT & Business 2014 from October 8 through 10, 2014 in Stuttgart.
CeBIT 2014: Asseco Solutions enables you to make efficient use of data and information, anytime and anywhere
Asseco Solutions is introducing the company and its range of high-performance products to an international expert audience at the CeBIT trade fair held from March 10 to 14. At Stand F16 in Hall 5, with the slogan of "ERP at its best", the company will highlight the new Version 6.1 of APplus, its business software featuring cutting-edge technology. The company was created when five successful European ERP providers merged in 2013. As the core of the Asseco Group's ERP expertise in Europe, Asseco Solutions and its over 700 employees stand for comprehensive investment assurance, cooperation across countries, professional service and proximity to local markets. The company expands its scope of services with carefully selected strong partners, while still remaining the direct point of contact for all aspects involved in a successful implementation customized exactly to the specific customer.
The best ERP you can get: Asseco Solutions is the new ERP software entity formed by the merger of Asseco Germany AG, its Austrian and Swiss subsidiaries, and Asseco Solutions, a.s. The latter was created in 2009 when the Asseco ERP software companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia merged. With over 700 employees in five countries, the company has now become a major player in European enterprise software and is the Asseco Group's center of ERP expertise in Central Europe. Asseco Solutions stands for comprehensive investment protection, collaboration across national borders – particularly in implementing new, groundbreaking trends such as Industry 4.0 – and even better service due to the increased proximity to local markets. This shortens development cycles, allows innovative concepts to be turned into reality more quickly and customizes the solution portfolio better to industry- and country-specific requirements. Moreover, it creates a solid foundation for preparing and making strategic acquisitions in the future.
