The major goals of the industry – digitalization and automation of the factory floor – continue to drive those responsible in the sector. There is little doubt that they are the key to future-proof and competitive production. But how can they be implemented in practice? This question will be the focus of this year’s Intertool, Austria’s largest B2B trade fair for the manufacturing industry, from April 23 to 26 in Wels. As a key step on the way to the smart factory, Asseco Solutions will be demonstrating at stand 21-0701 how a modern and highly flexible ERP solution can help make the production of the future a reality by acting as a central information hub for business processes.
In times of a volatile economic situation, a persistent shortage of skilled workers and an increasing number of technical innovations, for example in the field of artificial intelligence, flexible and efficient digital processes have become decisive success factors for modern manufacturing companies: They provide the basis for rapid reactions to new circumstances and developments and enable employees to optimally process their daily tasks. At this year’s Intertool, the experts from Asseco Solutions will show interested trade visitors how the new APplus 8 can provide companies with the best possible practical support as the central ERP foundation for such processes.
At the center of the new solution is the innovative Flow Mode. In contrast to the data-centric approach previously established in the ERP world, this focuses on the actual process flow and presents it in the form of clear and user-friendly process flows. Many central company processes – from order creation to production release – can thus be processed at more than twice the speed of traditional ERP use in some cases. For maximum flexibility, the defined process flows can also be adapted to new circumstances and changes in the business process at any time if required – in most cases purely on a configuration basis, so that the ERP standard remains untouched. This gives companies exactly the flexibility they need in today’s rapidly changing world.
Expert presentations at Intertool
How the new Flow Mode can be used in practice and how APplus can also support the implementation of efficient digital manufacturing processes at other stages of the process chain is also the focus of three specialist presentations with which Asseco Solutions is participating in the Intertool conference program:
- Wednesday, April 24, 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.: “The digital twin of the store floor”
On April 24, Roman Wolf from N+P Informationssysteme GmbH and Markus Stranzinger from Asseco Solutions will show how the digital twin of the store floor can successfully become the basis for transparent, automated and sustainable manufacturing processes. They will explain how capturing production and machine data leads to transparent store floor levels and, in combination with APplus as the leading ERP system, creates profitable added value. Real-time recording replaces production paper and brings a new quality to processes. Machine data acquisition and IoT components serve as the basis for (semi-)autonomous production and will be an important part of every store floor in the future. - Thursday, April 25, 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.: “APplus and GANTTPLAN: ERP and APS in harmony, innovation in the lead”
The experts Markus Raab from DUALIS GmbH IT Solution and Alexander Krempl from Asseco Solutions will provide information on the ideal interaction between the ERP system APplus and the APS solution GANTTPLAN. This enables user companies to react optimally to the ever-increasing demands in production planning (such as variant diversity, shortage of skilled workers or supply chain problems). Based on ERP data, the APS system makes it possible to take into account all the resources required for production, automate order scheduling and run what-if scenarios for better decision-making. This enables companies to react to short-term changes in planning and achieve continuous cost optimization. - Friday, April 26, 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.: “APplus 8 Flow Mode: Unleash the power of your ERP with passion, innovation and precision”
In their presentation on April 26, Markus Reichl and Alexander Krempl from Asseco Solutions will show how the new Flow Mode in APplus 8 revolutionizes the way users interact with the ERP system: away from cluttered interfaces and towards the presentation of individual processes and workflows. Flow Mode guides users through their tasks in a targeted, clear and fast manner. Only what is currently important is displayed. For maximum efficiency in day-to-day work, the flow boards can be tailored precisely to the customer’s requirements – at process, interface and logic level.
