Als Betriebsdatenerfassung (BDE) bezeichnet man die Erfassung von Ist-Zuständen bzw. -Daten in Unternehmen. Im organisatorischen Bereich umfasst dies Personen-, Material- und Auftragsdaten. Zu den technischen Betriebsdaten zählen Prozess- und Maschinendaten. Moderne ERP-Systeme verfügen in der Regel über ein integriertes ERP Modul zur Betriebsdatenerfassung, welches dafür sorgt, dass beispielsweise Personalverfügbarkeit und Kapazitätsplanung nahtlos miteinander verknüpft sind.
